I AM STUMPED AGAIN!

WHAT WAS THIS USED FOR?

I have studied these drawings carefully and I am still stumped as to their intended purpose! The only clue I can offer is the overall width; it is slightly larger than the width of standard gauge track. I know even less about the “Crescent Grip”.

If you know what these are, or even if you can only offer a “SWAG”, please use the comment box below to leave your input. Maybe, if you submit a REALLY good idea, I’ll name a star after you!

IS THIS A WRENCH OR A FASTENER?

About THE OLD MACHINIST

I am 82 years old and wed for 65 years. I am a retired engineer and spent 35 years developing INS gyroscopes. I am a High School mentor in physics, mountaineer, model builder, machinist and have a degree in Physics. My interests include railroad history and photography, science history, cosmology, interesting people, and old engineering drawings. I place a high value on my friendships. I enjoy life and am looking forward to the future with my usual sense of anticipation and curiosity.
